Noortevahetus Hispaanias

7-14. oktoober toimub Huelva's Hispaanias noortevahetus, mille teemaks on keskkond ja kultuur. Kandideerima on oodatud 18-25 aastased noored. Eesti osalejatele on 5 kohta (+ grupijuht, kes on juba olemas). Kohal on osalejad Itaaliast, Rumeeniast, Ungarist, Eestist ja Hispaaniast. Majutus, toit ja programm on kaetud programmi Euroopa Noored poolt, samuti 70 % reisikuludest (alguses tuleb ise osta pilet ja sellest saab 70 % tagasi). This project is part of the Youth in Action, Action 1.1 Youth Exchanges Europeans. The promoter group is Aljaraque Sociocultural Association in Action (Spain) and associated groups are of different rural and urban areas of Europe related to our town and the city of Huelva. The partner organizations involved in this project are: ComitatoGiovani di Serrenti (Italy), the association APYD of Craiova (Romania), Abaúj-Aszaló Youth Association (Hungary), and Seiklejate Vennaskond of Tartu (Estonia).

The multilateral youth exchange project "RURAL AND URBAN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND CULTURAL" will be held in the municipality of Aljaraque, Huelva Province, during days 07 to 14 October 2013, where they will participate in total 30 young people, accompanied by a leader or country, aged 18 and 26, from Italy, Romania, Hungary, Estonia and Spain. It is considered as the beginning of a process of understanding and collaboration between young people from different countries of the EU, where different topics are going to work through non-formal education, to enhance respect for nature and the environment, promote through active leisure suit and the elimination of inactivity, promote the knowledge of other cultures and mutual understanding between them, sharing experiences, promote values of respect, tolerance, equality and solidarity, and social cohesion values European Union, facilitate the integration, inclusion and participation in this project people with fewer opportunities and risks of social exclusion, encouraging the development of social skills, personal and professional, and finally, try to create awareness among the participants about the knowledge of the benefits and rights that gives us active

European citizenship, as well as report on the functioning of the European Parliament elections as a way for democratic participation and active citizenship.

Noortevahetus Armeenias - karneval :)

26. september- 5. oktoober toimub projekt Dilijanis, Armeenias. Noortevahetuse üheksa päeva jooksul valmistatakse ette karnevali taoline show, mis ühendab Euroopa kaheksa eririigi noori kunstnike, tantsijaid, lauljaid, artiste ning muid loovinimesi. Noortevahetuse esimeses pooles õpitakse tundma üksteist ning üksteise kultuure ning teises pooles korraldatakse kaks karnevalitaolist etendust lähedal asuvates külades Ijevanis ja Vanadzoris. Etendatakse 1,5-2 tunnine noorte koostatud show, mis ühendab noori ning illustreerib Euroopa kultuuride erinevusi ja sarnasusi. Noortevahetusel osalejad on kaheksast erinevast riigist (Armeenia, Gruusia, Ukraina, Moldova, Itaalia, Poola, Portugal ja Eesti). Lisaks kirevale showle tutvustavad noored kohalikele ka Euroopa Liidu poolt pakutavaid projekte ja programme Armeenias. Kandideerima on oodatud 18-25 aastased noored (+ grupijuht vanusepiiranguta). English: 40 young people from eight different countries (Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Estonia) will come together in Dilijan, Armenia to promote Europe through street art, music and street performances. Youth Exchange "Happy Bus" will have a base in Dilijan and will drive in three directions towards three other towns near Dilijan to perform for locals and also to spread information about different programs and projects that European Union is implementing in Armenia and in other promoters' countries. Overall the participants will have three performances colored with different games, quizzes, competitions, etc). 

Noortevahetus Türgis keskkonnakaitsest ja fotograafiast

23.-29. september toimub Konyas, Türgis noortevahetus mille teemaks on keskkonnakaitse, loodus ja fotograafia. Kandideerima on oodatud 18-25 aastased noored (+ grupijuht vanusepiiranguta). Eesti osalejatele on 6 kohta. Kohal on osalejad Eestist, Türgist, Horvaatiast, Leedust, Rumeeniast ja Itaaliast. Projektis osalemine on tasuta (tasuta majutus, toit ja tegevused), alguses tuleb ise osta lennukipiletid, millest hiljem 70 % saab tagasi. The Project aims to realize youngsters about damaging of lakes, nature and environments. We are going to go some lakes and different places which are under dangerous and which are under dangerous of drying . We aslo want to share our common fears about nature and what people can do save to nature with better way.

The project promotes the idea of photograph with different observations, perpectives and talents. During the project activities , the youngsters are either take photo of nature and lake or learn different cultures from Europe. Also, the youngster will be involved different meetings in Konya like Department of Social Cultures and Affairs of Konya Metropolitan Municipality , Regional Directorate of Environment and Urbanism , members of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Youth Assembly.

12 - 20. oktoober toimub Manisas, Türgis noortevahetus, mille teemaks on eri riikide toidukultuur ja traditsiooniline köök. Kohal on noored eri Euroopa riikidest. Projektis saavad osaleda 18-25 aastased noored, kellele projekti teema huvi pakub (+ grupijuht vanusepiiranguta). Projektis puudub osalustasu (tasuta majutus, söök, tegevused), ise tuleb alguses tasuda piletid, millest hiljem 70 % tagasi saab. NOAH’S PUDDING DAY (AŞURE GÜNÜ)

According to belief, after Noah first landed to earth the first dish he prepared to eat is called Noah’s Pudding which consists of water and some other indigrents such as bean, rice, sugar, nut, walnut, pomegranate, sesame, wheat, chickpea, haricot bean, pinon and cinnamon. With the inspiration we got from the legends and tales from the beliefs like Islam, Catholicism and Orthodox belief, we plan to gather 40 young people from different countries of Europe whose ages are between 18-25 at 12th-20th October 2013, in Akhisar-Manisa. The young friends will bring their indigrents and with the putting those indrigents to the cauldron the Noahs Pudding will be ready to be served by those young friends to the public people of Akhisar. The host group consists of the young people who are interested in different cuisines of the world and who has the ability of cooking. They will be pioneer about cooking and serving Noah’s Pudding in that time. Also they will teach how to cook Noah’s Pudding to the young friends who will come from those European countries. That Noah’s Pudding Day will represent the meaning of creating something together with the gathering the different indigrents from all over Europe. We plan to give the message that we can move together to overcome the problems just as Noah did with the people you could stay in his Ark. Our project is written with the aim of to attract attention to the dialogs between religions and cultures, moving together and attract attention to the importance of sharing. Our main aim is to meet the public young people, who has no chance to go abroad, with the young people from Europe in this city, Akhisar, making them to create something together. To prepare discussion ambiance to solve the problems together. Also we plan to see interesting ideas with asking ''What would be look like the flag of Noah's Ark?'' and seeing the results, drawings of flag, and we plan to have and exibition with those drawings in the city hall, also we plan to have some cultural and historical trips to the important places around here. At the same time, for one week long, those young people will be together in the workshops and even though they speak different languages, they will produce not only the Noah’s Pudding but alse the scenarios that represent the ending of the tale called 'Noah's Ark'. At the end of the week they will produce the art feast which is an universal language with the theater plays they will put on the stage. Also with our project all public people will be heard about it with the help of press, newspapers and other medias, so, the young people and the public will be awared. Our another aim is to enlighten the public people with the discussions and the dialogs between religions and cultures, between the young friends from Europe. For the last, as a result, all photographes that will be taken in the Noah’s Pudding Day will be published as a photo book to show the importance of moving together and sharing, and those books will be sent to the other countries, cities and projects and doing that is important for the project's permanence and visibility.

17-25. oktoober toimub Sitsiilias, Itaalias noortevahetus, mille teemaks on Euroopa kodanikuks olemine ja meie ühised väärtused. Projektis osalevad noored Eestist, Itaaliast, Leedust, Poolast, Rumeeniast ja Sloveeniast. Eesti osalejatele on 5 kohta (4 osalejatele vanuses 18-25 ja grupijuht vanusepiiranguta). “EU is your right” is a 7-days youth exchange will involve 30 young people coming from Italy, Estonia, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Lithuania. It aims at investigating how young people perceive their sense of belonging to the European Union. The European citizenship as one of the strongest instrument at forging a common identity was one of the biggest news introduced by the Treaty of Maastricht. But after 20 years from its coming into effect, the statistical data show that the society has currently a little perception of the rights and opportunities linked to be European citizens. Therefore, the exchange aims at working with young people in order to: - encourage and promote their European citizenship; - making them aware of the rights linked to the European citizenship by especially promoting their informed, active and inclusive participation in the European political and social life; - present the European Union as a big hub of opportunities in order to respond to the several challenges they have to face, first of all youth unemployment. The project thus aims at contributing to build new young European citizens able to exercise their rights and benefit of them and of the opportunities offered by the EU that can concretely contribute to their social and professional empowerment. The exchange will propose an “all inclusive” formula which will combine theoretical knowledge, practical examples of European citizenship and, workshops during which the participants will try to identify their possible “role” in the European Union as well as the “role” of the European Union in their life.

Kiire pakkumine Küprosele - noortevahetus

27. september - 5. oktoober toimub Agrose külas, Küprosel noortevahetus, mille teemaks on kultuuriline mitmekesisus. Kandideerima on oodatud 18-25 aastased noored, kellele teema huvi pakub. Eesti noortele on 5 kohta (grupijuht vanusepiiranguta). Kohapeal on kaetud kõik kulud programmi Euroopa Noored poolt (tasuta majutus, toit, kohapealne tegevus), ise tuleb alguses osta ära lennukipiletid, millest 70 % saab tagasi kohapeal peale noortevahetuse lõppu. Hetkel on tasuvam lennata Riiast, piletid on ca 400 €, seega omakulu on umbes 120 €. Lennujaamade valikul tuleb arvestada, et ainsad mõeldavad lennujaamad on Larnaka ja Pafos (Nicosia on buffer-zone ja sinna lennates te riiki siseneda ei saa).  Küprose poolsed korraldajad on seadnud projektile osalemistasu 30€, mis arvestatakse tagasimaksest maha.

The main objectives of this project are to raise awareness of one’s own identity and culture and to cross borders to other traditions, languages and mentalities by involving actively with groups from other countries. One important part will furthermore be the addressing of prejudice in all kinds of situations and how to fight it.

Through activities including group work, outdoor activities, interactive lectures, quizzes, games and workshops, the participants will find out more about the factors that may separate us (like nationality, mentality, sexual orientation, background, etc.) and learn how to benefit from this diversity instead of seeing them as obstacles. By getting in touch with the other participants, they will broaden their horizons and improve mutual understanding within Europe.

Given the importance of making people realize that we are all members of a large family called Europe, we intend to contribute to making young people aware of their European citizenship. Basic purpose of our project is to promote cultural diversity by developping the intercultural learning. We aim to understand the lifestyle and social backround of each country by looking into the problems and the way of life of youngsters in the Mediterranean EU Countries. The project seeks the diversity of ideas, opinions, ethical awareness, and cultural differences of the participants in a unique framework of experience and activities. We shall look for similarities and differences between us. We also aim to familiarise ourselves with each other’s culture, to learn about the educational system in these countries and acquire new experiences and cultural knowledge. We are very interested to get to know how young people spend their leisure time. Our activities shall include seminars and working groups related to art, culture and education. Those activities involve discussions, workshops, lectures and evaluation in order to create a strong interaction between the youngsters of the participant countries.

8-17. september toimub Primorskos, Bulgaarias noortevahetus, mille teemaks on noorte tööpuudus. Kandideerima on oodatud 18-25 aastased noored, kellele teema huvi pakub. Eesti noortele on 5 kohta. Kohapeal on kaetud kõik kulud programmi Euroopa Noored poolt (tasuta majutus, toit, kohapealne tegevus), ise tuleb alguses osta ära lennukipiletid, millest 70 % saab tagasi. About the project:

The project “Joy Of Being Yourself” (JOB Yourself) will take place in holiday village “IYC”,

Primorsko for the period 08.09 -17.09.2013 (including the days for arrival and departure for

the participants). There will be participants from Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Romania and

Turkey. Each country (partner organization) will be represented by 4 participants aged

between 18 and 25 and their leader (no more than 30 years old) or a total of 25 participants.

The theme of the project is about the youth unemployment. Project main objectives are

the problems leading to youth unemployment to be found out and presented with the help

of various methods of non-formal education, and general recommendations for its

limitation to be deduced. The project is aimed at overcoming the fear of communication

and self-expression, improving of social and personal skills for teamwork, stimulating of

entrepreneurship, as well as increasing of self-knowledge. The following sub-objectives

should be taken into account:

1. To stimulate the participants to discover the fundamental hindrances for the youth to

start a job, as well as to discover the difficulties related to the working process.

2. To examine these obstacles and to help them identify ways to overcome them.

3. Building confidence in the youth who are about to enter or already have entered the

working environment and to discover how to develop their potential.

4. Identifying and evaluating the advantages of communicating without fear and team work

as a premise for successful professional and/or entrepreneurial career.

5. Showing the possibility for volunteer work which are made available by the European

programme "Youth in Action"

6. Identifying personal success in the context of the European citizenship.

The planned activities derive directly from the philosophy of the methods of non-formal

education. These activities would be:

- Interactive workshops;

- Role playing;

- Discussions;

- Multi-cultural dinners;

- Constant evaluation and reflection;

- Working in teams;

- Making short essays and presentations;

- Games which encourage the development of creativity;

- Round tables.

22.-29. september toimub koolitus Kobuletis, Gruusias, mille teemaks on sooline võrdõiguslikkus. Koolitusel saavad noortejuhid täiendada oma teadmisi sellest, kuidas seista vastu soolisele diskrimineerimisele ja vägivallale. Kandideerima on oodatud noortejuhid, noorsootöötajad ja projektijuhid (18+), kellel on motivatsiooni antud teemaga tegeleda ka oma töös noortega. Eesti osalejatele on kolm kohta. We are organizing this project to help active young people (youth leaders) to become more gender-aware and sensitive to be able to detect situations and contexts where there are gender discrimination and violence and to take action to promote gender equality both locally, nationally as well as in international contexts. 

Contents of this non-formal training:

·         Developing awareness and understanding about various concepts related to gender issues, especially gender-based discrimination and violence

·         Discovering realities when it comes to gender inequalities in different countries

·         Discussing the “power” of youth work to promote gender equality at various contexts

·         Sharing and creation of tools to fight against gender-based discrimination and violence

·         Empowering participants to become active promoters of gender equality (“gender equality creators”)

·         Partnership building and common project ideas

The training will last for 7 days (excluding travel), include 30 participants that are motivated to explore gender equality issues from altogether 10 organizations in Programme countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Italy and Malta) and Eastern Europe and Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova).

Project Description:
The study visit in Armenia is the third in a series of study visits in the Caucasus dedicated to discover the current social and economic situation of young people living in this part of the post-soviet world. After having looked at the voluntary sector in Georgia in 2011 and the challenges for young people in Ganja region in Azerbaijan in 2012, the third edition of “Discover the Caucasus” will focus on the human rights situation in Armenia.
Therefore, the study visit will feature meetings with various local NGOs in Vanadzor, Gyumri and Yerevan on different aspects of human rights such as gender equality, rights of sexual minorities, equal opportunities for marginalised youth, legal protection and advice for people in conflict with the law and peace-building.
Additionally, the participants will conduct interviews with local young people in each city to engage into a dialogue on their perception of the meaning and importance of human rights.
With this programme the study visit aims to get an insight into the human rights situation and the civil sector defending human rights in Armenia, to discover young peoples’ perception of human rights in Armenia and more generally in the EECA region, and to create new partnerships enhancing local capacities for human rights protection in Armenia and in EECA region.

The "TC on communication strategies for civil society organization" aims at developing the quality of youth activities and capabilities of civil society organizations in the youth field for improving public relations considering volunteer projects with giving opportunity to participants for acquiring skills for further development of voluntary organizations. This training course aims at improvement of the participant’s competences, knowledge, skills and attitudes to higher quality practice in the youth field regarding working with volunteers. The main project objective is to develop an understanding of the nature of Marketing Management of NGOs and the role of practitioners when they are working with EVS volunteers , to recognize the key areas of Marketing Management of NGOs. The TC will be held in Madrid from 1-9 of October 2013 with participants from 15 countries from EU, SEE and EEC regions.

6.-15. september toimub Slovenj Gradecis, Sloveenias koolitus, mille teemaks on inimõiguste ja võrdsete võimaluste uurimine läbi teatrimeetodite. Eesti osalejatele on 3 kohta (vanus 18+). Osalemine koolitusel on tasuta (programmi Euroopa Noored poolt on kaetud majutus, toitlustus, koolituskulud) ning ise tuleb alguses osta piletid, millest 70 % saab tagasi. "Inclusion Cocktail" is a training project for youth leaders and educators who would like to increase and expand their competencies and activities in the area of social inclusion through non-formal learning methods.

By using innovative and creative approaches to social inclusion education, the training  will approach "inclusion" through theatre methods and methods  of empathy, with the help of external experts who deal with special needs persons on a daily basis. Main outcome will be »Universal Design« for social inclusion which will be used in different countries through  knowledge participants will gain in this project.

AIMs of the TC:

Main aim of the training course is to develop skills and knowledge for youth leaders and trainers, who are involved in a work with social risk group youth, using non-formal methodology, based on social inclusion.

Increase awareness about human rights and social inclusion principles.

To analyze situation on inclusion in European context.

Sharing experience and develop knowledge about inclusion.

Get knows new methods and resources available on COMPASS and ALL TOGETHER.

Program Methods:

Program will start with getting know each other, ice-breaking. After we`ll have introduction in social inclusion, and each country will present situation about inclusion in their own countries.

Participants will have presentation about existing handbook on inclusion ALL TOGETHER, and also have space to try some of those methods in practice.

Work mainly is going to be in small groups and we will try to organize it in educational, but funny ways. We prepare for some simulation activities.

There will be outdoor activities. You can try in practice everything you learn before. Outdoor could be quit challenging, so prepare good and be ready for surprises! J

Participants:

The training will last from 6th till 15th of September (excluding travel), include 32 participants from 9 countries (Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, France, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland). It will be held in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia.

Noortevahetus Kobuletis, Gruusias

30. august - 9. september toimub Kobuletis, Gruusias (musta mere rannikul) noortevahetus "Make it visible-Citizens...ACTION!". Projekti teemaks on kultuuride vaheline õpe ning seda uuritakse läbi lühifilmide tegemise. Eesti osalejatele on 6 kohta (5 osalejat vanuses 16-25, grupijuht vanusepiiranguta). Projektis osalemine on tasuta (majutus, toit, kohapealsed tegevused), ise tuleb alguses osta piletid, millest hiljem 70 % saab tagasi. Hetkel piletid maksavad ca 400 eurot Tallinnast, Riiast 300 €.

LOE LÄHEMALT:

The YE Make it visible- Citizens...”Action” was designed for multicultural learning through team-work. During the 10 days of the exchange, participants would have few practical lessons of creating and coining a short movie script, planning the scenes on paper, filming the designed scenes and the final editing of filmed material. However, that would only be the technical part of the youth exchange. The project team would encourage participants to come up with the ideas for filming – the theme of a movie is more valuable that the expensive equipment- as the rules of the film stands for. The themes we would like to convey to the participants would deal with the life of socially excluded groups in our country, right and also to talk about basic right of citizens in Europe. The project aim is: By designing and filming short films about this theme, participants would not only raise their awareness of the existence of these people and their every day lives but raise the awareness of government officials and EU official of the existence and lives of these groups living in our societies and the need for respecting and giving them their human rights. The short movies would be posted on each partner organization web-page, YouTube and personal blogs, FB groups, and would also be sent to European officials for letting them know how young people see this problem and encourage them to seek a solution that would not be only found on paper.

24. august - 1. september toimub Cikolasziget's Ungaris noortevahetus "The World Somehow". Projekti teemaks on tervislikud eluviisid ja looduskaitse ning seda uuritakse läbi loovuse ja kunsti. Eesti osalejatele on 6 kohta (5 osalejat vanuses 17-25, grupijuht vanusepiiranguta). The World Somehow will take place in Cikolasziget, Hungary between 24th of August and 1st of September including the travelling days. It will involve 5 participants and 1 leader from each country: Czech Republic, Malta, Greece, Portugal, Estonia and Hungary. The target group is European youth between the age of 18-25 who are interested in the main topic of the exchange, which is nature protection, the importance of selective waste collecting, health and sports. This exchange is highly recommended for those who want to know more about artistic acts and who are trying to keep their life and their nature healthy.

Participants will get to know how important is nature and its protection in our lives and they will get to know why it is important to keep it clean. They will learn many creative ways for recycling and they will be taught how to make their surroundings friendlier with creative „up-cycled” materials. They will also learn how to make other kinds of equipment, such as musical instruments and costumes which they can use for their performances. Participants will get to know some great technics for doing performances and protests which can help them understand the view of the many Green Peace demonstrators. The participants will get an opportunity to discuss their own thoughts and opinion about the topic through the methods and techniques of non-formal education and through interactive activities.

We will have many creative workshops like photo, movie and theatre workshops, where participants will need to come up with their own ‘Green’ idea and realize it on their own or in little groups. We will have painting games, musical workshops and many more.

During this project we will get to know one another and ourselves better and will motivate others to be active part of the European society and act more actively. Through these days we will experience intercultural learning, such as national situations in different countries and national evenings. We will gain new competence and develop the existing ones as well.

We would like to interview youngsters and adults about the Hungarian situation through a survey which will be created on the exchange focusing on the most important questions according to the participants. We also would like to share the results of the survey and of the whole project with those who are not involved in it by using public manifestation.

Professional SALTO trainers will help out during the project along with the many participating members who already know a lot about this topic and our used methods.

Koolitus Aserbaidžaanis 27.08 -04.09

27.08 - 04.09 toimub Aserbaidžaanis koolitus noorsootöötajatele ja aktiivsetele noortele vanuses 18+. Koolituse teemaks on noorte elustandardi tõstmine ja võitlemine tööpuudusega. Eesti osalejatele on 2 kohta. Kohal on tervelt 14 riiki nii Euroopa Liidust kui Ida-Euroopast ja Kaukaasia piirkonnast.  Kohapealsed kulud (majutus, toit jne) on kaetud programmi Euroopa Noored poolt 100 %, ise tuleb osalejatel tasuda lennukipiletid, mille eest saab pärast 70 % tagasi. Aserbaidžaan asub peaaegu Aasias, seega tuleb arvestada, et piletid maksavad ca 400-500 €. Lisaks tuleb osalejatel katta 30 € osalustasu, mille on seadnud korraldajad, tuues välja, et muidu nad ei saa hakkama. Eesti kodanikul on vaja ka viisat, mille saab teha online või saatkonnas Tallinnas. Selleks on vaja kehtivat passi, kus ei tohi olla Armeenia viisat. PROJECT SUMMARY

Azerbaijan Democratic Student & Youth Organization (ADSAYO) was founded in 1995 as a social non-for-profit non-governmental organization of young people in Azerbaijan. As a national NGO, the ADSAYO activities cover all regions of the state.

Main goals of the ADSAYO:

• To promote values of democracy among youth of Azerbaijan

• To encourage youth participation and facilitate civil society building process in Azerbaijan

• To increase youth participation in human rights protection in Azerbaijan

• To advocate young people needs & interests (social, humanitarian, education, legal etc.) in Azerbaijan.

Within “TOGETHER FOR BETTER LIVING” international training & networking project Azerbaijan Democratic  Student & Youth Organization (ADSAYO) will host 28 youth activists and workers of 14 youth organizations from 12 European countries (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, Italy, Moldova, Estonia, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey) for one-week training session in Masalli from 29 August to 03 September 2013 where the participants will learn & share their knowledge & experience of how to improve young people’s living and social participation by preventing unemployment & poverty. Through presenting their countries’ experience in youth unemployment & poverty prevention, contributing to the group work, learning new knowledge & skills delivered by trainers, the participants will exchange ideas about the concerned issues and get empowered to make a difference in their environment by supporting  young people in their countries to build a better life. The joint team work will underline youth European solidarity to the current challenges & cooperation to giving more opportunities for the young people to enable them for active social participation. Also the participants will arrange cultural events of presenting each European nation’s unique traditions, cuisine, folklore, music and languages.

Project objectives:

•          To conduct an exchange of knowledge of youth employment in the European countries and share experience in improving opportunities for equal and active youth participation in social life

•          To train youth activists with new knowledge and skills of working with local, national and European governmental and non-governmental institutions, and private business sector to empower them in supporting the young people to find more employment and income-generation opportunities

•          To create a network of youth activists in Europe involved in youth unemployment and poverty prevention work

•          To promote understanding of cultural diversity presented in Europe and European youth solidarity

EVENT AGENDA

The project's main agenda is to review youth unemployment & poverty in 12 European countries & trained youth activists to disclose every possible opportunity at local, national & international levels to find decent work for people or explore entrepreneurship opportunities for self income-generation of the young people. The event activities will include panel discussions, group works with follow-up presentations, role games and study visits.

1.-9. september toimub Tiraanas, Albaanias noortevahetus, mille teemaks on kaasamine ja identiteet. Teemat uuritakse läbi kunsti ja teatri. Eestist on oodatud osalema 4 noort vanuses 18-25 ja grupijuht (18+). Lisaks Eestile on kohal veel Itaalia, Poola, Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Türgi ja Albaania noored. This youth project aims to support young people on the path to building an inclusive society

by giving a voice to the concerns of young people who experience different kinds poverty

marginalization and social exclusion and to inspire participants from different countries to

be engaged publicly in these important issues. Street theater or street performance is a tool

to effectively express the concerns and feelings of those experiencing poverty as well as

educate the general public about the complexity of their situation and inspire a more

inclusive approach to poverty.

Participants will have the possibility to be aware of cultural differences and learn about

other cultures through working in international groups. Youngsters with fewer opportunities

also will aware to raise up the voice, fight for their rights and the importance of trial to make

a change in life. This YE will be a starting point for youth leaders to work back in local

communities and fostering other youngsters to become entrepreneurs. This can lead to

social development of marginalized groups in the society.

Through this YE we aim to foster a better understanding of poverty and social exclusion of

marginalised youngsters. We are committed to ensure that the project will reinforce the

civic attitudes of participants and their awareness of how important this mentality is in building an inclusive society today. We want to show that together, by focusing on our

similarities, we can build a more human society based on respect and inclusion of

European diversity. This project will give diverse youngsters, Roma and others, the

possibility to voice their concerns as well as to speak up and engage with these important

problems.

Through this YE we also aim to give participants the first spark which will lead them to

future entrepreneurship initiatives. Art and entrepreneurship will be very well engaged and

participants will gain the skills on how to use art in a productive way towards employment.

The project will also give these youngsters the possibility to meet new people, collaborate

on international group work. Participants will also learn how to use intercultural learning in

the society. The activities which will be proposed, and lastly will conclude in a group street

performance will be composed interactively and demonstrate a creative way to tackle social

problems.

Objectives:

- Building up understanding between youngsters facing different kinds of poverty and social

difficulties;

- fostering mutual understanding and respect between minority and majority groups;

- learning about aspects of poverty and marginalisation to better understand the complexity;

- to provide opportunity for young people to stand up for their right and speak up about

poverty and marginalisation

- allow participants to self reflect on personal, national and European identity

- to increase skills of youngsters to be more active in social life.

Koolitus Küprosel - Euroopa väärtused ja aktiivne osalus kodanikuühiskonnas

24-31. oktoober toimub Küprosel koolitus, mille teemaks on Euroopa väärtused ja aktiivne osalus kodanikuühiskonnas. Oodatud kandideerima on teemast huvitatud noorsootöötajad, noortejuhid ja aktiivsed noored (18+). The objectives of the course are multifaceted with the overarching aim being to encourage the development of participants as active and responsible citizens through the exploration of civil, political and social components of citizenship within the framework of the European Union. More specifically, it will allow for a conceptual and theoretical understanding of the notion of European Citizenship, develop the necessary skills and attitudes for active participation in civic life whilst simultaneously exploring the role of European Citizenship in youth work.

The methodology adopted will emanate from principles of non-formal learning. More specifically, activities on citizenship education as contained in the Council of Europe COMPASS training manual will be implemented with a view of promoting the necessary skills and attitudes that underlie active citizenship. Participatory activities such as team games, role plays and wall magazines will be employed throughout with theoretical presentations being combined with debates and interactive discussions. The group will also have the opportunity to participate in a workshop conducted by a lawyer on the rights and duties of European citizens. There will also be a 'Europe Day' where participants will learn all about the history, founding principles and values of the European Union and an 'Intercultural Learning Day' where participants will explore the semantics of this notion within the framework of European Citizenship. Towards the end of the exchange, participants will prepare and implement a presentation on any aspect of their choice pertaining to European Citizenship. This will be open to the youth workers, NGO workers, journalists and other interested individuals. The central purpose of the two-fold methodology combining the cultivation of attitudes and skills on the one hand and knowledge on the other constitutes an effective and long-term embracement of European citizenship. The project will include participants with fewer opportunities.  AEQUITAS will be the hosting organization.

Training course “I can multiply“ is aimed for youth workers directly working with young people from different target groups or responsible for sharing and providing information about different opportunities to young people. Training course will take place in Drammen, Norway and involve 28 participants from 8 countries across Europe (Norway, Estonia, UK, France, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Italy and Turkey). The date of project will be between 26th August and 4th September 2013. Intermezzo Ungdom will be host and applicant organization. Training will be lead by intercultural team of trainers from Estonia and UK with the support of Norwegian support team.

Training course helps to develop skills which are essential for this kind of activity: working with different target groups, understanding the concept of intercultural learning, developing personal learning process in the context of non-formal learning. Training tackles topics like what are the opportunities of YiA programme and developing participants’ knowledge of certain sub-programmes; additionally Youthpass as a important tool in valuing non-formal learning process is examined and and practicezised. We work on how to analyze the needs of different target groups, how to motivate them and provide them information in attractive and useful way. The training course involves local specialists, multipliers and members of local youth organizations who have the chance to share experiences with  participants and make new contacts.
