Veel projektist:
Welcome to our new project – something unique that you most probably have not done before! The general idea of this seminar is to bring together (1) people that already work with youth (youth workers, youth leaders, educators) and are looking for new ways to approach youth and (2) young choreographers and dancers that wish to start working with youth in the framework of non-formal education. The main aim of this seminar is to discover ways how movement and dance could be used as tool for providing non-formal learning opportunities for youth.

The contents of the seminar would include:

-         Sharing experiences of youth-work in different countries
-         Raising awareness on non-formal learning in youth context
-         Experiencing and exploring contemporary dance as a tool for learning
-         Gender situation in Georgia as a case study
-         Developing ideas for future cooperation between youth-workers and choreographers/dancers in own countries as well as internationally

Participants
This seminar will gather 24 participants – two to three people from each country (Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden and Slovenia).

From each country we expect youth-workers (people who work with young people at the local level on daily basis) AND choreographers/dancers (professionals or amateurs that are passionate about dance). All of participants are expected not only to participate actively in the seminar, but also ready to commit themselves for implementing some activities involving contemporary dance for young people in their country after the seminar. As seminar will take place in English, it is important to have very good communication skills in this language.
